About Me

Artist Statement
Through my art, I am observing the world around me, focusing on interactions and relationships between people as well as other living things. With the use of gouache, I want to capture fleeting moments at a cafe, memories with loved ones, and my relationship with myself. I'm interested in using my art to showcase and explore my identity through my inner world while touching on themes of spirituality, self-love, and hope.
Artist Bio
Ro Alvarez is a student that is attending Pasadena City College to obtain an Associates degree in Studio Arts, to then transfer to obtain their BFA in Illustration. Ro is interested in a career that focuses on storytelling using colorful illustrations to evoke heartfelt introspection.
