About Me

Artist Statement
Through my art, I am observing the world around me, focusing on interactions and relationships between people as well as other living things. With the use of gouache, I want to capture fleeting moments at a cafe, memories with loved ones, and my relationship with myself. I'm interested in using my art to showcase my identity and how I navigate through this busy world.
Artist Bio
Ro Alvarez is a student that is attending Pasadena City College to obtain an Associates degree in Studio Arts, to then transfer to obtain their BFA in Animation. Ro is interested in a career that focuses on storytelling using colorful illustrations to evoke heartfelt introspection.
